Come on a Segway tour through the Nation's Capital and experience all of the great
sights the city has to offer. There will be an abundance of photo opportunities
of historic buildings, monuments and memorials, including:

You will cruise through fascinating sections of the city while hearing informative
historic and current facts about the area from our tour supervisors and marshals
who will also take special care for your safety and security. Each tourist will be
provided with a helmet (compulsory) and additional safety gears like elbow and knee
pads guaranteeing an optimal tour experience.
The excitement begins with a brief training session and for the remainder of your
45 minutes with us, you'll take your skills to the streets! Our supervisors and
marshals will provide you with outstanding service and lots of fun while ensuring
your safety at all times. Please arrive 20 minutes early for your tour.

Do I have to purchase a tour voucher in advance?
Advance purchase is strongly recommended, as tours often sell out quickly. To maximize
your chance of getting the day and time you prefer, please book well in advance.
You can do this by purchasing your vouchers at the counter at iSKATE, 6th
Floor, Ambience Mall, Gurgaon or Bird Travels Pvt Ltd, E-9, Connaught House, Connaught Place, New Delhi. Shortly these vouchers will be available for purchase online.
Who can take the tour on Segway ® PT?
The Segway PT is appropriate for those weighing more than
45 Kg and not exceeding100 Kg. All, tourists should have the ability to make motions such as climbing and descending
stairs without assistance.
I have children in my group that are under 10 years old. Can they still come
on the tour?
No, unfortunately children under the age of 12 are not recommended on the tour for
safety reasons.
What exact locations do we visit?
The exact itinerary and route of the tour varies somewhat from tour to tour, so
we can't say ahead of time exactly which locations will be visited on a specific
tour. We do, however, usually visit as many of the following as possible: the Secretariats,
Rashtrapati Bhawan, Parliament, the various ministry buildings as you glide through
Rajpath, Amar Jawan Jyoti India Gate.
How will I hear the tour guide's commentary?
Our tour supervisor and marshals will be interacting with you all along the tour
whilst they ensure your safety and security. They will keep informing you on all
the monuments and and important buildings which you will pass by during your tour.
What happens if it rains?
Tours run rain or shine. But don't worry! Some of our best tours have taken place
in less-than-perfect weather! Just remember to bring a poncho, not an umbrella,
as you will need both hands to operate the Segway.
Do I have to sign a waiver?
All Segway tourists must sign a liability waiver before participating. Tourists under
the age of 18 must have a parent or guardian sign for them.
I am a Delhi -area local - will I enjoy this tour? Though you may
have seen the sights before, you will still enjoy the unique experience of gliding
around the Nation's Capital on a Segway and seeing it all from a different perspective.
Can I buy food or drinks along the way? What about souvenirs?
Unfortunately, the tour is structured so that we can visit a large amount of landmarks,
which leaves very little time for any other stops. We recommend you arrive full,
as you can only bring necessary items on the Segway. At the end of the tour, you
will have an option to purchase variety of souvenirs, our tour supervisor will assist
you with this.
Where does the tour end?
We will return to our tour departure point near Opposite South Block of Secretariat.
The exact meeting location will be provided to you after ticket purchase.
How much time of the tour is actually spent on a Segway? The majority
of your time will be on the Segway. We will start off with a short training session
and then be on the Segway for the remainder of the time. There are no stops unless
the tour group would like to stop and rest or take pictures.
Will we stop to take photos and go inside the sites listed for the tour?
While we can stop at some of the locations to take in the views and snap some photos,
there isn't enough time on the tour to go into any of the sites--there is too much
ground to be covered!
Do Segways have the ability to store bags, purses?
We have the ability to transport necessary items i.e. cameras, medications, etc.
All other personal belongs will be kept in the meeting location. We are not responsible for lost or stolen articles.
Are the tours conducted in English only?
Yes, the tours are only conducted in English. However, our non-English speaking
guests will still enjoy the experience of riding a Segway and seeing the sights
of Rajpath.
How do I learn to take a tour on Segway PT ?
All customers are required to take a 5-10minute hands-on training session to ensure
a safe and enjoyable experience. Tourists are trained on Segway PT operation and emergency
stops. All tourists are required to wear a safety helmet.
How does the Segway PT work?
This breakthrough technology, termed "dynamic stabilization," is the essence of
the Segway PT. Dynamic stabilization enables the Segway PT to work seamlessly with
the body's movements. Gyroscopes and tilt sensors in the unit monitor a tourist's
center of gravity at about 100 times a second. When the tourist leans slightly forward,
the Segway PT moves forward. When the tourist leans slightly back, the Segway PT moves
backward.
What is the Segway Personal Transporter (PT)? The Segway Personal
Transporter (PT) is the first self-balancing, electric-powered transportation device.
With dimensions no larger than the average adult body and the ability to emulate
human balance, the Segway PT uses the same space as a pedestrian, and can go wherever
a person can walk.
How safe is the Segway PT?
The utmost care and research has gone into ensuring that the Segway PT is safe.
The Segway PT's balancing technology is truly revolutionary and provides an exceptional
riding experience. The Segway PT has redundant systems and sophisticated alerts
built into its design, and many thousands of hours of use have demonstrated that
the Segway PT is safe when used appropriately. It is important that Segway PT tourists
understand their responsibility to take a tour safely. Proper skill level and understanding
of the Segway PT prevents injuries caused by loss of control or misuse.
How fast do the Segways go?
Segways have a top speed of 12.5 mph. Capital India Tour does not limit your speed.
The Segways were designed to have fun and we have the MOST fun of any tour in town.

What is the Gen2 Segway Personal Transporter (PT) i2?
On Monday, August 14, 2006, Segway released their second generation personal transporter
(PT) with the model name i2. This machine utilizes new technology called LeanSteer
which allows the tourist to lean in the direction he/she would like to turn. The Segway
keys have also been updated to include wireless capability.

The Parking lot of “South Block of Secretariat on Vijay Chowk” is where your tour would start. Please arrive 20 minutes before your scheduled confirmed time slot.
The tour begins within 5-7 minutes of training on How to use the Segway, demonstrations and various guidelines you would need to strictly follow during your tour and for your own safety.
Post- Training your group will be led by the Tour Supervisors. 2 Marshals will start gliding towards the Secretariat and stopover for 5-7 minutes for photo-ops with Secretariat building and Rashtrapati Bhawan in the back drop.
From here onwards, the group proceeds towards the Parliament building by taking a left turn on Vijay Chowk.
You will stop here again for 5 minutes for photo-ops.
Your group will then proceed towards India Gate on Vijay Chowk, enjoying the serene beauty of various ministry buildings en-route, crossing various intersections and gliding for almost 10-12 minutes you reach India Gate and stopover for 5-7 minutes for photo-ops with India Gate and Amar Jawan Jyoti in the back drop.
You then proceed backwards on Rajpath towards Vijay Chowk and take a left turn to reach the parking lot, where your tour had begun.
